Nature’s Whisper of Transformation

As many of you know, I've been on a spiritual journey for a few years now. It took a big life-changing, shattering type of event to get me there, but at age 33, I began to find myself. My life has completely changed in every possible way since then, but most significantly in how I experience spirit and how I perceive that which is greater than myself.

Much of that time I spent discovering myself was in the spaces of nature. On walks through a eucalyptus grove next to my home, on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, at silent retreats in some of the world's most lush and wild places.

Here's something you may not have heard before but it's possible that you resonate… I practice "Nature" or "Earth" - Based Spirituality.

What a shift from my Jewish (non-religious) upbringing and much of my adult years thinking there was no God or at least it was something I didn't fully grasp or understand.

I can now say confidently that I've felt a higher power through Nature.

  • Nature is where we are from.

  • Nature is how we come home.

  • It's a place where we find balance.

  • Where we can breathe in the air of peace.

  • It's what grounds us on this physical plane.

I believe that nature - the trees, the moon and the stars, the elements, the animals - is the most essential and common theme of being human, and it is our tie between lifetimes. There is a deep remembering with nature. Have you felt this, too?

If you're like me, you've:

  • LISTENED to the whispers of the wind

  • HUGGED a tree, really felt it, and asked it for its name

  • FOUND hearts and beautiful shapes and signs in nature

  • WITNESSED animals come to you in life and in dreams (for me, it's been the coyote, the crow, moths, the hawk, the whales that show up often)

  • BEEN beckoned into natural waters for cleansing, revitalizing, to awaken, to surrender, no matter how cold or deep

  • WALKED into the misty, dark forest (literally and figuratively) feeling fear but doing it anyway

  • STOPPED and stared in awe and wonder and the rainbows and the stars

  • SEEN spirits in nature (one of my clients had recently, and sent a picture of proof!)

  • BURST in tears with the sight of the sunrise over the ocean or the sun setting through the trees

This list can go on forever, I know it does for many of you, too.

I've recognized that on my spiritual journey, nature has been the spirit that guides and loves and supports me through it all. Nature has been a sanctuary for my soul. It's given me refuge during the most challenging times. I know when I need it because I feel ungrounded or unbalanced. It speaks to me, and I listen. I create space for it, I honor it, I pray to it. I am nature, and therefore I now listen to my body too (it speaks to me, too).

This year, I'm devoting my Generator (Human Design nerd here!) energy to creating nature-based spiritual experiences for YOU - because I believe in the healing powers of the Earth. Because it opens me to the spirit world

Because it connects me to my roots. And I know it can for you, too.
